I thought we were soft on murderers?
Must admit I like watching "America's Hardest Prisons" with life there meaning life..

"Inaki de Juana Chaos, 52, was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison in Spain for 25 murders in the 1980s - However, he was released early in August 2008 and later moved to Ireland". *

I was lucky (?) enough to go to a State Penitentiary here in the US to speak to prospective welding trainees about what to expect in industry. I was searched prior to entry, I kept a pack of cigarettes (open) and a book of matches. I had a video presentation which I was not allowed to take, and several plastic replicas of welds including defects which I also could not take. Turned out the the "welders" had never struck an arc in prison. They read up on theory and watched films. Actual practice was reserved for them leaving jail and going to a halfway house for two months, where they could actually weld.
Crazy!!!
