She was 9 but she has had health problems for most of her life :~(

My sincere condolences to both you and Unicorn.

The loss of a much loved pet is heartbreaking and only other animal lovers can understand this.

How sad for both of you. Pets rely on us so much and we love them dearly, it is always so hard when they pass on.

If its any help to either of you this is what we did with benny
We buried him in mum and dads garden but chose a tree to mark the spot which described him to a tee..
So a little memorial such as a favorite flower or bush to mark the spot is more fitting to a pet than a resin headstone is more apt imho.
