I have two friends who hope to visit Caithness sometime approx. beginning July ( They can be flexible on the dates.) They would like to rent a cottage for 10-14 days . Needs to have 2 bedrooms and to accept dogs ( Two very well behaved dogs who will not be left unsupervised in the cottage) can anyone recommend somewhere in beautiful Caithness ?

You could try http://www.smithycottages.co.uk (Reay) whos site specifically mentions that well behaved pets are fine.

http://www.dixonfield.co.uk/ (Thurso) and http://www.wattenmains.co.uk/ (Watten) don't mention pets (AFAICS) but may be worth investigating if your guests fancy either of those areas.

Try www.welcomecottages.co.uk and search for properties in Caithness. There is a very nice cottage at Noss Head and another one in Keiss.

If you are staying in Caithness or other Scottish self-catering properties, you could leave a holiday cottage review (http://www.mycottageholiday.co.uk) for other holidaymakers on MyCottageHoliday.co.uk. If people share their experiences it will help other people like you chose the best cottage for your holiday.
