William Caratacus Schnell! no seriously, thats his name.

I went to the adoption centre today, and Alby had been adopted its good news he found a home though. They did have 3 baby hamsters - someone had dumped them tied in a plastic bag at the pet shop how awful is that? :mad: Thankfully, they all had homes lined up. I'd already bought a new cage though, a Savic Cambridge, so I really wanted something to put in. This little baby was at the pet shop, being squashed under his 3 brothers (HAMSTER PILE!). Fell in love, and well, here he is.

What an active, confident little guy he is! Not shy at all, he's obviously been well handled by the staff, and doesn't have a care in the world. :D Normally I would have left him to settle in, but he's absolutely fine. Not frightened of me, hands, camera, cats or dogs! I've never had a hammy like him on the first day. He ran on the wheel the WHOLE WAY home - 2 hours! It came with a rolly wheel (small one, but it fits him just now as he's so small), and it squeaked the whole way! He's got a silent spinner now, and more toys in the cage.

He is soooo lovely and definately looks very at home nibbling on his maize and exploring. One happy hammy. Well done.:)

Awww! He's so cute Sarah...I think I have seen him somewhere before ;) :D
