You must love a good cry Paris, I can't watch 'Who Will Love My Children', I get so upset, It's like 'Sophie Choice' just too disturbing.

Shawshank Redemption
Braveheart.....

lots of others but these two rank as the best. Shawshank first - it is so well constructed, brilliantly written and well acted. And it made me scrike. Next day I watched it again, this time with my with my son - then 26, six feet three - not soft - we both scriked!!

The scene on the roof, and the dual ending were absolutely mesmerising. 9.5/10

Its ghost that does it for me. Ive watched it near on 20 times now and still sob. Its nice to think your loved ones never leave you. Never seen Sophie's choice, will ask if i can borrow it from someone, I take it its a tear jerker ??

The number of times Shawshank gets mentioned in surveys like this is amazing. Did you know amongst American males aged 25-65 something like 65% listed it as their all time favourite film. An Incredible statistic.

Has anyone NOT seen it?

Sorry but I found it difficult enought to stop at 15 and couldn't whittle it down any more!!! So here's my all-time No. 1 plus 14 other crackers I couldn't grade 'cos it depends on my mood...

1. Bladerunner (the original - not the Directors Cut, which really peeves me off because you can't get the original on DVD!)

The Associate (Whoopi Goldberg at her very best)

Chain Reaction

The Concierge (also released as "For Love or Money")

Dave

Field of Dreams

Gladiator

Knights Tale

Men of Honour

The Parent Trap (newer version with Lindsay Lohan)

Pump Up The Volume

The Saint

Simply Irresistable

Shawshank Redemption (Strangely I didn't like it when I first saw it but now think it's a very clever plot brilliantly executed)
