Sounds that awaken the dead!!!!

Two of my cats can appear to be in the deepest of sleeps, in the other half of the house.......all I have to do is start cutting up raw chicken or open a packet of mince and they will be standing at my feet, yowling for a tasty picking!!!! It doesn't matter how quietly I do it or how loudly I put the telly on in the kitchen, they manage to hear the subtle signals that indicate something good might come their way!!!!
Any other sounds awaken your pets from the deepest of sleeps?

The fridge opening! Or the cupboard door! My cat knows that milk and chicken is always in my fridge! And knows that his go cat and his meat is kept in the cupboard! He can be in the deepest of sleeps and yet he will be dancing around my feet if food is on the go! He will eat pretty much anything too! :confused
