Went to Marysville 6months ago with family who live in Melbourne,it is a beautiful little town where there are lots of Ski-hire shops etc,as it only takes about 30 mins to travel up to the snow fields.It was fully booked out so we stayed in the next small town called Buxton,I see that it was badly affected also.
It's really sad to see the destruction on the telly but when you have actually visited and stayed &enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of both places.it is heartbreaking to hear of so many lives lost.I only hope that they manage to track down the Arsonists that started many of the fires.
