i have an acer 5310 aspire the cable doesnt seem to be charging up, i think its a connection on the transformer cable, where can i get this fixed that wont cost me a fortune

If your laptop is still under warranty I'd get one from Acer. If it goes wrong and they find out you have a non-Acer power supply it gives them an excuse not to cover you.

Otherwise try here (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&hs=8Tw&q=acer+laptop+power+supplies&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB) - make sure the voltage etc. is the same if it's a generic power supply.
