Am doing some research into organic practices in the area and was wondering who out there farms or keeps livestock following organic principles and how they feel it works.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

We follow the principles of organic agriculture / horticulture, however, we are not classed as organic simply because we do not wish to "join" the soil association,
we believe our produce to be as near to organic as possible and in general we find that the proof is in the eating, have never tasted better, be that meat or fruit or vegetables.

You could go the full hog, join up and be inspected regularly or you could just follow the principles to the best of your ability,
regardless of your soil, something will grow and the taste will tell you when you are doing it right.

For ourselves, we recycle everything, composting, rain harvesting, even our fertiliser is naturally procured, courtesy of the horses.
