From Google Groups

"Check for a setting in the printer driver to clean the nozzles. Check to
be sure the black ink cartridge is not empty. Get and install a new ink
cartridge for black.
Some printer driver have a setting to print in black only. For
diagnostic purposes, try that.

Try ruining the utility to clean the print head of the printer. This
could be found in the printer driver settings or be a separate software
utility or made available as a printer front panel button or menu item.
Check your printer manual whether at the printer manufacturers web site
or the paper manual that came with the printer."

From PC Discussion Forum

The print head (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=42929#) may be clogged.
See if soaking it in a hot water bath for 30 minutes, and then running it under hot water for at least 10-15 minutes helps.
If not, then you may have to either replace the print head, or get a new printer.

You can download the latest drivers here (http://software.canon-europe.com/Printers/Bubble_Jet_Printers/i45510007.asp)

If all else fails it may be a case of replacing the Print head.

Good luck:grin:

Could also be that the printer is knackered, depends how long you've had it for. We had ours for 8 years, did the usual stuff, but it died out on us.
