Why when I bring up a page on IE some pictures are missing and have the little box with the red cross in it?? I have tried right clicking and select show picture but this does not help - any ideas please??:confused

Does it happen on all websites you visit? If not is the site content suitable to post a link to it - tehn we can see for ourselves?

Do you have any plugins enabled or any toolbars installed in IE? As Bobinovich said, if you post a link to the page we can take a look.

only toolbar I have enabled is the AVG one. This did not happen when I first got this laptop but does seem to be happening more and more??

The first thing I would try is to uninstall or disable the AVG Toolbar and see if that resolves it.

If there are no other addons then it could be something on the computer interfering or filtering the web connection.

Can you try another browser? If you don't want to install one, try Firefox Portable (http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable) (which works standalone). This will tell us whether it's isolated to the computer or to IE.

Are you using a firewall? If so, which one?

If you are meaning the top image underneath the header then I get the same result, so they're probably just missing the image in their files so it's their problem and I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

If however you are having the problem with many other sites, or other pictures within that site, then there may be something more amis.
