Can anyone tell me what the light is that appears to be hovering above loch Watten. It's been there for a wee while now. Helicopter exercise?

Ebay has chinese flying lanterns so you could have your own misterious lights flying over the loch and you could write your own message on them so dook you could have your uranus up in lights if you wish:lol::lol:

Venus is mistaken for UFO on numerious occassions.
It is visible in the SW-W after sunset and and is very bright.
Not sure what time it slips below the horizon but i suspect it's well after it gets dark.
I'm sure there is an Astronomer or two on the org who can provide the details.

Venus has been extremely bright recently. Deceiving distance-wise as it looks like a light that is much closer.

The other night I thought I saw some strange lights in the sky and then heard the noise of a helicopter, it flies from the Foinaven oil Field every Thursday night around 5:00pm sometimes with a bright white light on.

Probably isn't Jupiter as it is too close to the sun...more likely to be Venus who is in the process of climbing higher in the sky...................:confused

I think Aliens are to smart to be flying around earth in a space ships with flashing lights becoming a big target for this war minded planet, they will probably use a cloaking device instead of being lit like a Christmas tree and then being shot down. Most UFO sighting are exotic aircraft built at Area 51 with U.S. Air Force pilots flying the things or computer controlled like the spy planes we already know about, and maybe have strobe lights to confuse the general public into thinking they are UFOs from another planet. Think about it the best weapon system is one what does not exist in the public's mind and UFO sightings are a great cover story for classified exotic military aircraft being spotted by the general public.
