We are ready to do our garden count got bird table in view and the bird life chart on wall ready to count as they appear plan to do on Sunday morning for one hour as advised in kids Bird life magazine! we get nothing very unusual in our garden but suppose it all helps their statistics of what is where and how many!

Have managed a better tally than last year. 13 species with the largest number being 7 goldfinches in one go. One bird had me scratching my head and diving for the bird book - a male blackcap, very nice. Hadn't seen one before. All in all, a nice way to spend an hour with a cuppa! :D

Well again this year crummy weather for the count hence I had a very small count indeed! We sat for an hour with a cuppa and scone and only saw 2 blackbirds and a thrush! A bit poor really normally we have a good range of birdlife in the garden and hedge but not today!
