I still think we should have a name for the pub. I'm thinking we should honour one of it's longest serving patron's and name it after him. How about The Gol and Bladder? [lol]

laguna2
16-Feb-09, 17:19
Not sure what our long serving patron will think of that! How about the Pub?

teenybash
16-Feb-09, 17:22
I agree....The Pub......no need for fancy sounding names afterall there is only one pub on the org!!!!!

laguna2
16-Feb-09, 17:23
OK Teeny, we need to get the rest of the troops to agree and then we can have a brand new sign made and have a party to unveil it!!!!!!

Who should we ask to do the honours?

teenybash
18-Feb-09, 14:31
Now there's a question...... should we go for a celeb.....someone from the sporting world....a politician.or someone ordinary.what do you think???
Either way there will be a fabulous party for us all.....everything free.:)

Golach...............has a ring of importance, authority and someone who has a natural flair for public events.................of course the reality might be quite different ;) I think he is the very one to do The Pub honours.....now we just have to convince him.......Maybe you could approach him Laguna...you are probably better with words than me.:confused

02-Mar-09, 22:23
OK Golach ... we have a favour to ask ... and you can't say no ... please officiate at the opening of the .org pub ... dress is optional (no, I mean you don't have to dress up fancy NOT that you don't have to dress at all!!). You name the time and the day and Teeny and I will organise the decorations etc.

Excuse me, but this dive pub has been open for three months now! A bit late for an opening night methinks.

You're just trying to upstage my nightclub's Grand Opening, which will be attended by A-list celebs and the who's who of the business world. In fact, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were fighting to see who stays at home with the kids, such is the importance of being seen at my place.

No doubt we shall visit your establishment from time to time and enjoy the company therein........but there will always be the good old Pub when you've had enough of the razzamatazz.......;)

What you forgot to explain is that Angelina and Brad were fighting for the priviledge of staying at home ... loser went out!

You could always ask wifie if she has space in her diary when she can do the opening for you ...

1. Sour grapes doesn't suit you
2. Wifie would go to the opening of a bag of chips. I'm having Brit awards winner, Duffy, to do the Grand Opening.

Yes, I can just see them washing their gnashers together.[lol]

Why don't we just open The Pub and invite everyone to join in the fun and leave the celeb stuff to Jox and his nightclub. Maybe have a theme for the opening.Country and Western, Folk, Golden Oldies from the 60's/70's/80's............Let's show the youngsters how to enjoy themselves...:Razz
Of course Wifie could be asked to do the honours and intice her with limitless olives?:confused
