Does anyone else on here call their pets by another name other than what you originally christened them by ?

The "bairn" - our cat of 15 years and called C-For (as in C for cat, d for dog etc !!!) is called many other names by me !!!

"Ratty" being one of them as she CONSTANTLY miaows, no matter what she wants - if the door is shut, then she just HAS to be on the other side of it for whatever reason !!!! :confused

"Chick Pea" is another name shes known by, when shes being "nice" ...

Any other nick-names for your pets ?

We call Teddy 'snappy pants' as he still mouths quite a bit being young, our pair are also known as 'mop and bucket', Teddy cos he's like a mop and Voula as she is a bucket i.e. will eat anything.

Voula is also affectionately known as 'Darth Voula' due to her snorting, snarfling and other deep-breathing ways [lol]

Zander - GSD - Pandy Woo the ninja numpty or Panda for short
Sam - Border Collie - Samson the Dounreay wonder dog (he came from Balmore)

Cats:
Pyewacket - The cock eyed cacket or just Cacket
Solitaire - The Chav bird
Monkeyboy - Does he really need a nickname with a name like that?

We also had Adolf the anti-semitic puddy tat (It was a moustache thing)

Zinger the hen - Nugget, Paxo, Dad's blonde bird.

and last but not least: Smudge the Rabbit - The arm ripper or stilts

Apart from the fact that my thread contained the word "pets", why on earth has it been "moved" to this site ?????

I TOTALLY give up on the "org" your "reasons" are way beyond me and obviously other "orgers" as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thread was moved here for the simple reason that this is Pets Corner which is the forum for discussions on Pets.

Don't worry on that score Dadie, my Oh sometimes threatens the wee bairn with offers of making a lovely pair of slippers out of her !!!! I'd make an even bigger and better pair outta HIM first !!!!

Seriously though, he loves her every bit as much as I do, and as me and my husband have been together now for 16 years, the "bairn" at 15 years old, is obviously a MASSIVE part of our lives, don't even want to go there - when she may no longer be in our lives :~( :~( !!!.

Just another wee bit to add to this thread about "wur bairns" ....

C-For has to be CONSTANTLY by my side, even when I'm typing away on the computer, she manages to sneak (very uncomfortable looking !!) on my lap and then drools all over me and herself in sheer contentment !!!

I was in the shower (over our bath) this morning and she pushed the door open and did her usual "beg" on her hind legs, eyeing up the side of the bath cos she knows if she can jump up on the bath unit then shes closer to me !!!!!

I verbally warned her NOT to jump as the side of the bath was wet, but, well you can guess what happened........... I've never seen a cat try to dig its claws into tiling for balance before !!!!!! She sat on the floor then, a look of utter disdain with ears back at having been embarassed by sliding very ungracefully off the side of the bath !!! When I got out, I tried to salvage her pride by petting her, but she wasn't having any of it !!!!

Typical of "Ratty" really - Bless her !!!

Used to have a cat called ashtray (cause since a kitten she would sleep in the ashtray no matter if it was clean or dirty), she was called ashy for short or Sh#t-head. She would lead you into a false sense of security by purring loudly then bite you hard for no reason .

we had a jack russell, who unfortunately died last year. we called her pepper, but she was also known as belle, short for big belly! she answered to both as well.
she had the best nature and we really miss her. Have thought of getting another but not ready yet and i am also worried that its nature wouldnt be as good as belle's so have decided to wait.
