Trout/Salmon Fishing in Caithness

I am new to the Caithness area and i was wondering if anybody knew of any good Trout or Salmon Lochs in the Wick/Thurso area,I was also looking for any information on the Lochs on the road to Dunnet Head.....:)

Loch Watten is great for the brownies! Thurso River and Wick River are great for the king of fish. Hugo Ross in Wick and Harpers in Thurso will have all the info and paperwork you need.

Bear in mind that Loch Watten doesn't open until May 1st.

theres a new man made loch opened not long ago it has massive rainbows dont think its to expensive either my mate caught a 4 pounder cracking fish and theres a thumper in it as well and if you catch it im sure you get a prize etc but as savey says all info from harpers or hugo ross

Is that the one out by Reay? Last time I was at Harpsdale I had a 4 1/2lb and 5 1/2lb submarine, I mean rainbow. Needless to say I was delighted.
