In 1853 if some-one died in Pultney, where would they have likely to have been buried please? Thanks to a great link from Pompeygirl I think I found my missing 3 x great grandmother Elizabeth Sinclair.

my Elizabeth Sinclair c 1775 Ragra, father James, mother Christian Bain. Elizabeth married James McBeath 1797, their son James came to Australia after marrying Ann (Gordina) Innes in 1832. Ann is the daughter of Capt Peter Innes and Magdalene Manson.

almost certainly the Parish Church graveyard, High Street, Wick. this closed in 1876 when the new municipal graveyard was opened.
