i cannot for the past week log in to messenger keep getting
its saying its unavailable

it wont let me uninstall it

tried what was said and it wont let me uninstall it ive tried clicking uninstall as gives no repair option and nothing happens
its in programs as windows live beta (all programs)

That sounds quite old - Windows Live isn't in beta anymore (I think).

Download it again from here (http://home.live.com/)and reinstall to see if that fixes it.

In that case have a look at this (http://messengergeek.spaces.live.com/blog/cns%21E3785B1281BBDA1%211118.entry) page for ZapMessenger which will forcibly remove it.
