i wis doon in inverness christmas shoppin yesterday an ye want til hev seen 'e amount o' coppers - they were everywhere!!

apart fie 'e fact that i thought they were followin me at one point [para] it wis really refreshin' til see so many coppers on 'e beat.

they were walkin aboot in shops, they were goin aboot 'e streets, they even took a walk roon' macdonalds when i wis eitin ma beeg mac denner!!

despite it bein freezin cowld an lashin wi rain most o' 'e day, they were really friendly an speakin til shoppers. i bet it helped (til a cretain degree) in combattin shopliftin an pick pocketin, an makin 'e aulder fowlkies feel safer.

somethin i never see in weik, is bobbies walkin 'e beat....

only time i ever see them is runnin aboot in their fancy (might i add) warm cars....oh, ats right, an ye see them efter an incident hes occured

maybe 'e weik coppers want til take a leaf oot o' inverness coppers book, or a least a sock oot o' their drawer - eh jox?

Maybe, just maybe, there's not enough coppers on duty? How many police officers are rostered on at any one time in Wick? Do you know? Or do you just like to throw accusations around willy-nillily?

Dinna blame the local rozzer's for the lack of bobbies on the beat. Point your accusatory finger at the people who (don't) provide the funds for more bobbies in the first place.

Oh please, enough of the faux concern! It's just a snottery man-flu, nothing for anyone to worry (or even care) about.

Think its up to the individual Inspector how he deploys his officers.
Since we got our new bod he's had our boys and girls on foot patrol.
It does make a difference.:D
