my home town

after thinking about foods and stuff, made me start thinking about home.
and with it being the time of family and friends and sharing, well i thought i would share my roots with you! *G*
heres some links to my home town of Morganton NC, in Burke county. im from the community of Salem, not sure if there are pics of salem on the website or not.

well there is a homeless shelter in the town, and we have a soup kitchen as well. it had just started up when i came over, as my sister use to volunteer to help out. sorry no dens of ill repute! we are talking the bible belt here.. but there are crack dens and druggies in their little pockets of town, we just dont go there.. i dont think the camermen made it back to develope the pics! *grins* i do remember beside the interstate there was an old drunk man that use to hold a sign that said Will Work For Food.. but always wanted money to buy a cheap bottle of wine instead.. he would pass out under the overpass when he got a few dollars to buy a bottle. but thats about it. (as far as i know!)
ohh just wanted to add.. the streets in town ALWAYS look like that! we as a town always took great pride in clean streets... and besides the fines will kill you!

Hi Brandy,
Just perusing the posts and saw the above name..
Couple of months ago drove from Toronto to Ft. Lauderdale(1,650 miles), and actually skirted Morganton. Was on 81 and somehow passed it by.
NC/SC are such a nice States /nearly as nice as Kentucky!!!! Grass always seems greener there..........OK. just joking.....And you are now in Wick????? Wow.......
