Massage parlour and sauna? ;)

Actually that would probably be one of the few business which would do well.

Sapphire2803 you took the words RIGHT out of my mouth!!

I'm sure there must be a spare shed down at the harbour that could be utilised for this very venture! [lol]

What about Woolworths? Once they are done and gone who/what do you think should take their spot?

I want a shop that sells wireless tv set ups.

Why do I have to have the telly in the corner of the room where the ariel and satelite cables come into the house, why can I not just move them about like I do with the lap top. And why oh why does the sky box and dvd player have to be right next to the tv.

I want a shop that sells wireless versions of all household appliances so I can work where I want to and not have to work near where the sockets are.

Failing that I will go with the majority and have a sauna and a massage please.

Unless they're selling cheap booze or fast food I don't fancy their chances. :(

Or second hand stuff, or gambling - that's it - Woolies could be a Casino - Wick could be the Vegas of the north!! [lol]

Cracking idea that! We've got the airport, so we can really give the Vegas experience. They can fly in and see all the neon lights* as they descend.

*Extra strength neon lights with mega strong moorings, so that they don't blow away.

Fab - and we can get the Players and Grey Coast Theatre to put on productions in the Market Square every night...

We can get a local singer (who?) to do some Celine Dion type shows and M M Miller could build us a massive Cairn that we could use as a hotel...

And instead of fighting on the street we could get the rabble in a ring and they could fight for an extra tenner on their giro every week...

And we could call the building "Jocky's Palace"....[lol]

i'd like a big indoor play area for the kids, with the huge ball pits and big slides etc and a ten pin bowling alley for the older ones and an information place for tourists/locals, especially for the kids/anyone to tell them all the groups and organisations that they could join.

I would like a kids soft play area that you could get something to eat and drink for the mums, craft sessions for the kids and that could cater for parties

Maybe with a decorate your own pottery, make candles and cards etc bit selling craft stuff

And the loos have to have the pull down kiddie seat in them and a decent changing area.

Soft squishy informal seating, enough high chairs kids cutlery and cups and decent heating good lighting so you can see where the kids are at all times and enough shoe storage (might even sell socks for those that dont wear them)

I know its a tall order but thats my wish:lol:

Mebbe the powers that be could find a big museum in Wick to publicise to attract tourists, just like Anstruther Fisheries museum , also a nice Memorial Garden nearby to sit in afterwards, on the way to the harbour cafe ?

Certainly someone with experience of road maintenance, levelling and tarring, could make a good living in the County. South Road, Wick would be a good place to start. The same fellow could probably make a few quid if he bought some road grit and started spreading it on the roads affected by all colours of ice and snow.

Why not build a jail in Wick?
That way there would be plenty of room to house all the undesirables!!!
I do believe Wick was thought of once to build a jail but it went to Peterhead instead.
It would create alot of jobs, they could build it on the "wick side" as most of the clientele would come from there anyway!!!!!!;) (thats a joke for all the sensitve people out there!)[lol]

A large Cosmetic surgery unit where the Hollywood horrors would be flown in, procedures done, nursed and pampered to the highest standard and discreetly flown out again having paid extortionate amounts of money.

how about an indoor market where people can come in and set up a stall?

I think the Woolworths building would lend itself well to an indoor market.

I am sure that there are lots of small idependant traders would like a pitch inside out of the weather to ply there trade.

Fruit and Veg, Cobblers and key cutters, Arts and craft, Mobile phones, Etc,Etc

The only thing I really miss from down south is a drive through car wash. I reckon anybody starting one up here would make a fortune.
