F ound a book by J T CALDER called History of Caithness.Inside was an inscription to Thomas Adams esq.i think it read Lynegan with publishers regards 1887.They want £75 for it Does anyone know anything about old books?Whats the oldest book you've found?:)

I have a beautiful old bible its over 100 years old.

Have you had it valued.?This book Ifound wasnt in brilliant condition but they still wanted £75 for it.:grin:

I did try but it's hard to do. I looked online and found 2 the same.

Is there any antique type shops up your way?I found this old book in a regular book shop,apparently they buy old books:)

not that I know of I took it to a 2nd hand bookshop who reckoned about £100

Is it a family bible? It seems such a shame that book Ifound is here on Skye .Idont no of anyone round here from there so dont no how it got here.(if you no what I :( mean)
