Scarlet fever

Has anyone heard that scarlet fever is on the go in Wick? My mam heard this today in a local shop.

yes it is on the go, as i know of at least one child that has it. but its not serious like it use to be. at worst you get anti-biotics. its a form of strep and although its not nice and any one that has it will be feeling rotten for a while and have a lovley rash, bright red cheeks and a strawberry tounge.. other than a week of missed school/work thats about it..
although it is highly contagious!
