immobilizer problem

Hi,
Got a friend whose car immobiliser has thrown a wobbly and it wont let him start the car, it's a mazda, is there anyone up here who deals witht his sort of problem?

is it factory fit or aftermarket if its aftermarket i can remove it

We used to have a "Clifford" factory fitted alarm on a Toyota Supra. It was a nightmare. I am sure it had a mind of its own. The young chap in the Overloch motor spares shop in Wick sorted it out for us in about an hour. Very reasonable rates too.
