Does anyone know how much they sell the logs for down at Dunnet forest?

LOG SALES FOR 2008/9
Saturdays from 10am to 1pm on the following dates:

13 September, 11 October, 8 November, 6 December, 10 January, 7 February. 7 March, 4 April.


Bulk prices

Bulk prices are based on a 1 cubic metre capacity trailer filled level. Your own trailer or vehicle capacity will be calculated and priced pro rata to this.
Logs £20
Cut rings £25
Split logs £50
Woodchips £15 per cubic metre
Bags and Poles

Split logs per bag £2
8 foot poles - £2 each or 10 for £15
10 foot poles - £3 each or 10 for £25
12 foot poles £4 each or 10 fro £35

Why don't you apply to the forestry commission for a scavengers license and collect your own?

try hunters coal yard in thurso they sell logs by trailer or in bags any amount you want

Try Paul Barrett at Lyth, he sells logs and also has a sawmill.

It was a cracking day today so went over this morning and got a trailer load of logs and took the dogs for a run in the woods as well:Razz
