I am just shocked that they have to pay anything to be able to communicate with their base, other craft, when they are out and about trying to save peoples lives.

Ambulance and Police are also forking out money for the use of this radio spectrum.

It just doesn't make much sense but a lot about this world doesn't make much sense :confused

I think that the most interesting bit is the phrase 'might pay less'. It seems that the petition has caused a bit of a storm over the proposed changes and this hurried statement should only reinforce the issue that these vital services 'might pay more' than they do at present.
