Ok then, who's doing what and where tonight? Me , I'm of to my local to a karaoke night. and to have a go at winning £600. wish me luck !!

babysitting a 3 year old and a 3 month old while my wife goes to the pub.... it is worryingly quiet - the 3 year old started crying when mummy left and then put herself to bed so I may have a "dream night" ahead.... lets see...
Resting, feet up.......exhausted! :)

I didn't realise there were so many good looking blokes in Wick until I saw the article in the Camp Bar in todays Groat!! :confused: ;)

What you been doing to make you so tired Savey? Hard week?
Weekly shop done at Morrison's this aft. Picked up wife from work beforehand - she finished early. Home in daylight. Was going to go to Girvan tomorrow but not doing so now - houses we planned to look at have gone 'under offer' save one, and the weather is chilling up. Besides, I too feel like a rest.
Relaxing with red wine, flitting betwixt telly and the comp. Looking for holiday ideas in the Mallaig area & checking in here to see whats going on.
Contemplating opening some cheese - peckish. I know how to live lol.
To be honest I'm happiest at home. It's cheap 'n all.
Oh & for the first time ever I've done the euro-lottery tonight. If I win fifty million I'll stand you all a bevvy. (he said generously??)

Yeah busy week.....not feeling quite as tired anymore, beer in hand, bar of chocolate, feet up...phew....:Razz
............very busy (but successful) week at work and a poor sleep last night so feeling pretty knackered! Cooked some really nice haddock from the fish shop in the precinct in Thurso with mash and cauli - made my own cheesy cream sauce too which was rather succesful if I might say so. Coupla glasses o' Cali red Zinfandel, flop on settee and read Groat for statutory 2 mins., do the nightly lattes then on here checking my Ebay selections, then caithness.org, then............................who knows what the rest of the night will bring?
I'm open to offers.........(;->)

Im off down the local later tonight, but your idea of cheese Landmarker sounds awfie good, hmmm some Stilton and a couple o glasses of good Port, followed by some Liquers....I would gladly give up my beers tonight the weather is awful here

I only ever went there once. It rained. All day.
At John 'O Groats last October it was dry - just.
I must say, in my humble opinion both places are almost equally uninspiring, but the island view gives Johnny the edge.

Groats on a sunny day is lovely IMHO, inspiring on a windy day and scary on a stormy day! In the height of summer its quite a cosmopolitan place, wanna practice any new language you're learning?.....nip up to Groats mid-July!

Went out for lovely meal to No 1.. beautiful food, great company - my husband of 22 years, babysitter made a perfect evening possible. And here I am telling you guys about it....LOL!!!!!
Out for dinner to the indian rest it was good, then off out for a cupl o bevvies, so dnt know if im makin sense lol! :)

Well Paris
My good lady & I went out on the town last night, started in Spoons for tea 6/10, went into the Backer for a couple 4/10 and to speak to her nana.
After this we went round to pay our regards to Kate in Hagars,9/10, always have good time in there though.
Then we embarked into the wonderful Camps Bar! It wasnt that busy but had the usual hangers on & repribates in there,after a few songs on the karaoke we went through to Sinclairs(Yard if yer posh) and had a few boogies and drinks, so by this time were plastered so ive no idea what happened next.
So that was my Friday night Paris
Got in at 3.30am. Didn't win the £600 raffle but had a really good night singing on the karaoke. Bobby's girl is the favorite one for me at the moment but some of our friends nominate each other for songs we've never sang, that can be very embarrassing at times when you don't know them to well.

And here I am telling you guys about it....LOL!!!!!I'm going to no1 for lunch today..I can't wait, their food is brilliant..then prob go to the Queens for a few and hopefully manage to still be on the go later for the kareoke in the Camps. Its the first time i'll have been out in ages so I can't wait..:D ps. when you see the Camps emptying you'll know it's me on the kareoke..lol

I remember being in there one night and that Sealey Robertson went on the Karaoke, there was 25 in when she began singing & 4 left when she stopped!.
Des had to give her drinks to stop her going on stage in there, tho now they just dont let her on if they can help it! :p :p :p
