The End is Nigh - or is it?

Just passed the ruined building in Princes St. - you know the one which has had the abomination of an enclosed walkway round it for the past X years.

IT'S GONE! No not the building - the walkway...

Is this the end of a saga which has gone on far too long? Will it return? Does anyone know what's happening?

I thought the Walkway was for safety because of the state of the building.
Has work been done to make it safe?

Well I go past it multiple times daily and I haven't seen anyone there recently. I did visit a customer behind the place a week ago and if you think it's bad from the front, you should see it from behind - there's virtually just a shell there and not a complete shell at that.

it was there yesterday cos a tanker nearly hit it - maybe it came back for a second chance

Why would they take it down if the building is unsafe?
