I'm trying to take a decent photo at Reiss beach, have gone twice now but I have been disappointed with my efforts. Here are the best ones, advice / tips are welcome. I haven't liked any of the landascape ones I have taken, so the first 3 are all portrait.

I too liked the third one Isis , wonder if you have a camera with a fixed wide angle lens?
I often use such a camera for sceenic panoramas and views as it seems to keep the whole in proportion and not make the subject so daunting, just a thought.

I don't have a fixed wide angle lens but I have a 10-20mm lens which I keep forgetting to take with me. I think I'll go back on Saturday and I'll make sure I have this. Thanks for the feedback.

Isis,
Some nice images there.

I like the first and second.

Some suggestions,

No.1, try darkening the sky a bit, generally the image could do with a little more contrast.

No.2, I suggest you crop some of the sky, and some of the beach, ending up with an almost square image, I like the line of the dunes, and the lines of the waves.

No. 3, as No. 1, would also benefit from a slight increase in warmth.

I especially like the second one; something about the light and shadows....

The second one for me Isis, though I find its always useful to have a few distant people in the shots to give a better sense of scale/human interest. Also worth trying an neutral density graduated filter to darken the sky more. (or add a layer in photoshop).
