Can someone enlighten me on something that is very confusing,,, when there was problems at the big blot up at the golf course, with sodium etc, why was it that a fire engine from Invergordon came up to deal with it because they specialise in such things, well did i miss something, does Dounreay not deal with these types of problems, I thought the big shed was part of the decommissioning project regardless of who was working in it, or does politics interfere with safety.:confused

I wondered about that too. My thought at the time was the damage, although it turned out not too be as serious as some think, could have been greater by the time it took the engine to travel from Invergordon.

Maybe the Dounreay fire engine wasn't allowed to attend..

I was heading down the line when all these emergency services were heading up to the incident. The fire tender appeared to be an ordinary water supply type vehicle, which would be little use for a sodium fire........well little use in stopping it anyway.
