This is an image of 10x4mins stacked taken with canon 350d,75mm,iso800.
Camera piggy backed on 150mm europa reflector which in turn is mounted on an HEQ5 motorised mount.
Enough of the techie jargon, the weather lately has been rubbish to say the least and the nights that have been clear in the last week or so have been spoiled by the wind and fullish moon, however did manage to get this image of our nearest spiral galaxy neighbour.

Stunning photo MPH - it clearly shows the dark dust lane above the galaxy centre and one of its elliptical companion galaxies (M110) just above it.

What software did you use to stack the images?

I used Deep Sky Stacker which seems to be the most popular among astrophotographers.
I got it from a Sky At Night magazine CD,if you haven't used it i'll put a link to it below, its free so worth a look at.
I have tried others like Registax but didn't like them as much as DSS and the time it takes to stack large raw files you just know it must be doing an accurate job.
