Problem with Excel
I must have pressed the wrong key at some stage, because all my Excel worksheets now have the columns numbered eg., 1 - 26 instead of lettered A - Z.

This is a nuisance when it comes to writing a formula.

Does anybody know how this can be rectified????

Looks as if you've gone into R1C1 style. Select Tools menu, Options, General tab then deselect R1C1 reference style. Hope this works.

Thanks for the info Badger.
I cured the poblem - by accident - yesterday.
I found an old deleted Excel file which I knew to be in standard column format (A - Z etc).
When I opened it hey presto all my other files changed back automatically.
Weird !!

I will note your solution for future use.
