[lol]Here's a story that had me rolling on the floor with laughter - check how the woman described the experience... "knicker-gripping"!!! I'll be using that one sometime in the near future!!!

British couple's winter lock-in at hotel

A BRIT holiday couple woke after a boozy night out to find their deserted hotel had shut for the winter and they were trapped inside.

Staff had forgotten to tell them it was closing and that remaining guests were being moved.

To make matters worse, baffled Ed Potterton and Helen Day triggered a burglar alarm as they left their room on the Spanish isle of Ibiza.

They feared a fire but found all doors and windows locked.

They raced around looking for a way out and saw a bare reception, chairs and tables stacked and the kitchens cleared — apart from a pig’s trotter in a cardboard box.

Helen said: “The whole experience was knicker-gripping.”

After an hour the alarm stopped and a phone rang.
The caller, who worked for a security company, alerted the hotel’s assistant manager who finally freed the couple.

Hilarious

Back home in Birchington, Kent, Ed said he now found the episode “hilarious”.

The print firm manager, 38, had spent five years persuading Helen to beat her fear of flying.

She agreed to a two-week break because it included her 42nd birthday.

They stayed at the Galfi Hotel in a secluded corner of San Antonio.
The couple returned at 2am from a Saturday night out and only discovered the mix-up when they went for a late breakfast.

Helen, who runs a tailor’s, said: “We were kept out of the loop.”

After being freed they moved to a hotel in the same chain and got food vouchers as compensation.
