Is anyone else confused about the proposed car tax bands? I may not be reading this right but according to www.autotrader.co.uk (http://www.autotrader.co.uk) our ancient Disco (R Plate) will jump from £200 to over £400. Can this be right?

It is only if your 4x4 is newer than 2001

So no need to worry there

The gov web site is showing current tax bands and the autotrader web site is showing proposed increases from 2009 recardless of vehicles age.
