QE2 Passing Through Pentland Firth

For anyone interested the QE2 should pass through the Pentland Firth today around 5 to 6pm approx.

I only saw her once at Southampton after her return from the Falklands was Summer 82
could not get over the size

When I read this I hurried to the landing window but it is raining so hard at this moment that the visability beyond the Scrabster lighthouse is almost nil. :(

What a shame, I'd have loved to have seen the QE2 going through. Great map Golach.

I saw her docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico, many years ago. She's a very impressive lady! :)

was surprised she took the inside of the skerres. she could be seen off staxigoe but poor visibility tony

I was out lifting creels when it went past. It was well impressive. Her indoors tried to get a photo of my wee boat and the QE2 in the background but sadly never got the chance.

It looked eerie in the fading light and low cloud.
