Thats my dog just starting to give birth. This is her first litter and just does not know whats going on. I don't know whos more excited the bairn or me.

what news about the puppies please. were you up all night.
ours were friday morning they were born.

She had 6 puppies. One was not breathing atall when born and took about a minute to take its first breath, and the last two were breach. All doing well now though. Worked out we have not had puppies here for nearly 20 years so great excitment all round. She finished having them about 1.30am and I checked her again about 4.30am so never bothered going to bed.

Just been to see the puppies, they are gorgeous. Their mum seems to be doing fine. For newborns they are quite big. My 3 year old was enthralled with them until he discovered the rabbits in the shed next door and went of to investigate.
