Help for a novice

I would like to mess about with photos and for example put someones head on a different body? or bits of photos on other photos?
What would be a simple program to do this, or someone has mentioned a morphing program? But I have no idea about this.
Any advice please.:confused

Try Adobe Photoshop Elements, Corel Photopaint, Corel Paint Shop Pro etc. etc.

Gimp maybe? There is lots of fun to be had with those programs, happy playing around!
