See Tighsonas` post " Dogged by bad luck". He seems to be keeping track on the new boat.

If you check their (Pentland Ferries) site it gives regular updates:

'5/9/08 - The Pentalina is in Oman

Unfortunately there have been some unforeseen delays and the Pentalina has had to berth in Oman where she is at present. It is hoped that she will continue her journey early next week. Please keep checking for further updates'

Taken from "Orcadian" website today:
More problems for new catamaran
Pentland Ferries’ new catamaran has run into further troubles on its journey to Orkney.
The vessel looks to have been hit by a “diesel bug” on its 10,000-mile journey home from the Philippines after already having had to make an unscheduled stop in Oman for modifications to fuel lines.
The managing director of, Pentland Ferries, Andrew Banks, said: “They left Salalah last week and the fuel filter started clogging, They picked up a diesel bug. I suspect that’s been the cause all along, but we don’t know for sure.
“They left Salalah and steamed for about nine hours but they had to go back. They are going to wash out the fuel tanks and refill them with fuel."
