We have BT total Broadband and I set it to record Corrie and Eastenders for the wife as she is at work when its on.
Its been a right pain just now with the picture all over the place.
It goes into scramble mode when a scooter goes up the street ,but this is obviously what other folks are getting at the moment.
Its OK on the normal telly so it looks like going back to the old VCR.

Can't get digital BBC1, BBC2 or any of Channel 5/5 US/fiver. Thought it was my new telly playing up and really cheesed off so thanks for info that it is Rumster mast. Phew what a relief.

I am almost afraid to tempt fate but I have a Humax PVR and my Freeview has been fine.

Do those of you having problems have any of the freeview boxes listed in the link given by Joxville?

For some reason the Freeview on the internal tuner plays up whereas my PVR is okay. I think that the tuner on the PVR must be better than the TV?

My freeview is working fine so I think your problems are more likely to be signalling rather than boxes becoming obsolete due to system upgrade. Some more links you could try:

I think they've got helicopters up today and are taking the top off the mast at Rumster. I imagine to either replace or repair. I suppose it'll depend on the weather if it goes ahead or not?

I have noticed that the signal strength is down a bit on my PVR so maybe some Freeview boxes cant's cope with this?

Hopefully, things will be okay after the 8th October when the work is finished (for now) at Rumster.

It is a real pain when Freeview plays up but I don't want to pay for Sky. Not with the coal going up by £3 a bag!!!!:confused

I've heard of steam radio, but coal-fired telly is a new one on me.
