Doing up the bathroom, should I go for gold or chrome?

I like Chrome but the missus prefers gold.

She's obsessed with gold she's dripping with it.

I would go for one of those adjustable head ones. I tried the fixed head and it only left me partially wet. the colour is irrelevant.

Chrome, the gold colouring looks nice new but discolours fast :D

I agree. A lot more staining with the gold. It also leads to flaking. All depends though on how "hard" your water is.

The water is quite hard, we use it to brush our teeth and do the dishes etc but we don't drink it.

chrome will last far longer then and stay nicer looking for years, I bought gold coloured and it is rubbish

would the gold not tke a bit more looking after than the chrome, i suppose it depends what time you would have to look after it by making it nice and shiny.
