Strings?

I am looking for an easy to use program to put some strings in my songs. I currently use reaper so any kind of VST would probably do. Got the cakelwalk instrument standalone but dont know how to get it to work on Reaper. Something simple where i click on a sequencer and put down if I want minor/major etc,along the lines of Music that was on the playstation would be cool!!!! ;)
Any suggestions?????
