again... I know, but I thought they were too beautiful to get forgotten about on my drives.

I like the pictures Raven, the trouble with trying to get pictures of butterflys is that they so quickly flutterby.

Such stunning photos, Raven and Grumpyhippo! I love butterflies - they're so beautiful! :) I especially like your first photo with the peacock butterfly, Raven. What kind of butterflies are yours, Grumpyhippo? I don't think I've seen one with transparent wings before!

GH the first one is really a gem! Did you capture them in the wild or in a flutterby house sort of thing? Love the transparent wings!!!

They came out pretty good considering they were taken using my son's very basic Kodak digital camera.

Love the 1 with the pink slashes across it's wings and also the 1 with transparent wings, butterflies always seem to me to be like flying jewels.

It was great to be able to observe so many unusual brightly coloured varieties up close, but it could be a bit unnerving when some of the bigger ones got too close

Some were a good bit bigger than a Red Admiral (double the wingspan?).

Not really a problem unless you're leaning towards it to get a photo and it takes off and flies your direction - at 12" in front of your nose flying towards you it looks big .
