We're in the process of organising our December break and decided to use the relatively little known ferry crossing Ramsgate to Ostend, Transeuropa Ferries; http://www.transeuropaferries.co.uk/ (http://www.transeuropaferries.co.uk/) got in touch with them yesterday at 5pm, and today in the post received our reservation booking details - and we're out in the sticks along the Far North coastline!.
Pat on the back for Royal Mail and this Ferry Company (give 'em a look, very good prices for getting across the water..)

Good service does need praise; we are always quick to moan when things don't go as we would like them. Enjoy your break.
