The clouds and light at Loch More yesterday evening were absolutely stunning.

The composition on the first picture is great with the walkway leading one into the lowering sky.
Never ceases to amaze me what a change in light can do to a vista.

They certainly were! I love the moody serenity of all three photos, North Light! Interesting colours and textures in the heather, grass and buildings of the third one, in contrast with the cool grey sky and water. Stunning reflections in the first and second, again with interesting contrast of colour, tone and texture in the first.

Thank you all for the comments.
There was an element of luck to this, I had gone out chasing photographs of harvest, the best I've managed so far this year being a wet parked combine in a field! Out near Reay, the sky inland looked stunning, so a quick change of plan, a thought that Loch More might be a good location and off I went, I possibly missed the best light, and the reflections did not last long.
The only down side was a less than friendly encounter with a particularly ravenous bunch of midges, soon had me back in the car, scratching, and driving for the safety of the coast!

Skin So Soft from Avon is a great midge repelant Northlight! Have seen it in action in the west of the country and works a treat! :)

Wifie, thanks for the suggestion, but being a "bloke", I'm not sure it would do my credibility much good to be seen buying skin products!
I'll have to try suggesting to the other half that she tries it!

North Light, Avon Skin so Soft also works on mosquitos, I have used it abroad for years.

Think of the missed opportunities Northlight, all due to a wee insect! ;)

It`s number 2 for me too here. When the water is calm, there is hardly a location in Caithness that can beat that view.
I have very similar shots as panoramas too :-)
