I am very impressed with the quality of image from what is a relatively cheap lens.

North Light, lovely colours but rather than getting a whole bunch of them on the photo I would rather try to single one flower out and get a detailed shot. (not possible in the garden, but surely on your desk)

Two beautiful images, and a very good suggestion.
Might have another go once I've finished this mornings Accounts Recievable, ugh!

Mmm, just had a quick attempt at single flowers!

Hampered by a few minor technical details.

Using the Lilies that are in the window of the St Clair reception, all multi-flower stems. I will get hassle from She who should be obeyed if I start chopping the flowers up. So stem with 3 flowers on, stuck in pint glass of water balanced on the guest book against side wall of reception desk.

Photographer kneeling on top of reception desk, (apologies to those that walked past and saw idiot balanced on top of reception in the St Clair), but needs must!
Photos taken hand held with flash.

Do you get to see them, No, not good enough. Not enough depth of field.

Oh well, back to the accounts receivable.

wifie,
No not Basil, but I do firmly believe that this series of programs is the best set of training films for the hospitality industry!

LOL funny you should say that have seen it used in another industry which requires good customer service too!

In a quiet part of the morning another attempt, can't do the single flower, someone seems to have read this thread, all the sharp objects have been removed from the office. I'm not sure if the cause is the references to Basil or that I might savage the Lilies.
