any Munro Baggers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munros) out there on the org?

I'm a newbie at it, had only done Ben Hope before but I've added Conival and Ben More Assynt to my list, however both times the summits were in cloud

Care to share your experiences?

My son has made a start. He's only bagged one, but it's Nevis so I suppose that counts for something :D

I did Nevis in 1974. Haven't got round to my second one yet. There's just too much choice ;).

How about this, get a map of scotland and a pin then close your eyes and stick the pin in the map? closes mountain wins - problem solved

aim for the top i suppose lol, my plan is to bag many more to get some experience before attempting an accent of nevis on a more challenging route than the "tourist route" to fully appreciate the beauty of the mountain that you don't see on the main path  jeezo im getting all misty eyed just thinking about it haha

I think a lot of people's last one is the inaccessible pinnacle. I think I'd put that off as long as possible too :D

A quick note about the "tourist route" on Ben Nevis, do not underestimate the effort required to get up this, I know its the most popular way up and down but its very badly named in my opinion, still a very worthwhile day out though. Others I can highly recommend would be "The Saddle" as part of the Glen Shiel Hills including the Forcan Ridge, breathtaking. The Five Sisters of Kintail is a fantastic walk and you will definately appreciate a pint at the end of it ! If you fancy a couple of days away try The Lairig Ghru in the Cairngorms, stay overnight in the Corrour Bothy, if its available, at the foot of Bod an Deamhain (The Devils Point), a spectacular journey, enjoy your Munros and let us know how you get on, dont forget your camera !

I did about 190 in my younger days, Munro Bagging became a bit of an obsession driving hundreds of miles to 'bag a top' in any weathers. I'm cured now, and enjoy the finer tops the north has to offer, Ben Loyal, Stac Pollaidh not to mention the low level wilderness and northern beaches.

My first one was Ben Hope, followed soon after by Schehallion. I never seemed to find much time thereafter so after a break of a few years off I went to 'bag' another Munro - the Klibreck. It was shrouded with cloud and had no views which was a pity. We met lots of other people even in this remote location. A word of warning - if you go climbing in low cloud, make sure you can read a map and compass. The paths on Klibreck are very poor or non existent and we took a wrong turning and would have ended up in the middle of nowhere - thankfully I noticed we were off the descent route quickly and got back on track - but how different it could have been if we had kept walking!!
