PSP Help !!!

I am working away for christmas and have just phoned home to be told that my sons new psp is not working, apparently the game icon is not coming up on the display, he has tried a couple of games with no luck, anyone any ideas on how to cheer up a wee lads christmas day please ?

Im going to ask silly question has he tuned the tv into the playstion and if the game isnt still working try a dvd movie to see if that works

It says psp not ps2 it is a hand held playstation with no tv needed .

Try taking the battery out for 15 mins give it a chance to reset its self .
Other than that take it back to the shop
