Looking for a Jack Family from Wick

Alexander Jack was my GR. Grandfather. He had a brother Peter, William and a sister Isabelle. He had a nephew Alexander, who was shot down during a war? I have letters that his niece sent him from home, around 1930.Her name was Margaret Sutherland. I believe he had more siblings. According to family rumor one went to South Africa, one to Australia, and Alexander to the USA. He was from Wick.

Does anyone know this family? I am looking for more information on the family. We know very little about earlier generations.


1. Alexander JACK was born in Feb 1864 in Wick,Caithess,Scotland. He was christened about Feb 1864. He died on 19 Nov 1934 in Manchester, Nh, USA. He was buried in Drew Family Cemetery, Conway,Nh.

Alexander married Arvilla Clarabelle GILE daughter of Phinando Nelson GILE and Leonora A. DREW in 1894. Arvilla was born on 21 Dec 1872 in Haverhill, , Mass.. She died on 30 Jan 1965 in Haverhill, Ma.. She was buried in 1965 in Drew cemetery, Conway n.H..

I was mistaken about the authors of the letters I have. They are Isabele Sutherland and Margaret Downer, not Margaret Sutherland. Both from the 1930's)

We are descended from his younger brother Alexander b1806 who married Ann Nicholson. Do you have any information on them? I think the Jack's were the children on John Jack and Margaret Rosie, does this fit with your information? Thank you Jenny
