I dont check my bank statements, i mean hardly ever, but have been recently as keep getting bank charges, a company called redsave had been taking money of my account, i couldnt think what it was for so asked bank to cancel my card as they couldnt cancel the payment, went home and typed in redsave to yahoo, and its a gift website, now in november 07 i ordered a name a rose for my gran for £9.99.... i called them up and said about the £19.95 coming off a month, they said i electronically signed a subscription which i never! my partner talked to the male and he was very rude, my partner asked for a copy of my contract and they said they dont keep them! which my partner thought was weird, the customer services man hung up on us, i typed redsave in again to yahoo and it comes up with scam, lots of people have been done, they have now updated there website saying you go in to a subscription, this never came up when i ordered it as i wouldnt have done it if it did....they are refusing to refund me, we called back and got a nice female but she still wouldnt refund us but would send out vouchers or discovery experiences but i received it and none of the places are near my area and are crap basically! i dont get how if i was paying them £19.95 a month why i never had any email or letter about my soo called account! im £120 down and very angry!!! http://cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/Smileys/classic/diablo.gif

banks cant cancel debit payments the only thing u can do is report it as fraud to the bank report to watch dog even ask the police because it is fraud but if u ordered in nov 07 how long is the contract?.but u better watch what ure doing if u do manage to stop it without being out the contract u could get even higher charges the less of two evils would be to pay it and sort it out later whats the website address.
For me i just cant understand why anyone would want to have a subscription for fifts every month it doesnt add up.

ash when u read the website there probably was a small link with terms and conditions on what people dont click and now they have changed it so its more clearer it also says in that contract they have the right not to send regular emails and letters.

Here are a few interesting/useful links:-

This seems to tell the history of the saga and can be used to complain to Redsave:-

http://www.rip-off.co.uk/redsave/How%20to%20complain%20to%20Redsdave.pdf

There is some further information at this link:-

http://www.thisisdorset.net/display.var.2156597.0.amy_defiant_in_web_firm_libe l_dispute.php

Redsave were also rapped by the ASA, however that was for misleading the public on the alleged original price of an item they had "On Sale":-

http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/Public/TF_ADJ_44606.htm

I have read that a few people managed to get a refund from their banks. It must be worth a try at least. I would print off the first link contents and take it into your bank. Good luck.
