Scrap metal prices

I'm told that there's a company in Thurso which takes in scrap cars. Does anyone know who and where they are? Not forgetting the all important question, how much are they paying at the moment?

Speedy skips takes in cares but as far as I know you have to pay him to take it away, around £70 last time I checked, although sometimes he does free pick ups in Caithness.

There is a company advertised in the courier that will pay up to £100!

i would love to meet this guy.My mother scrapped a five litre merc and only got 50 for it, so i think you might be pushing the boat out on 70..

scrap metal is about £180 a ton moment u dont get a lot of money for a scrap car you have to remember when scrapping a car u have to get rid of all the oils in the car and get rid of the tyres that costs money to dispose of oils and tyres properly i would imagine to get rid of car if u take it them i would say about £40 tops but if u want a car picked up and disposed off i wouldnt think u would get anything for that the transport and time of driver cost enough as it is

Read your local paper for all you need to know!!!! AM O'Brien 01955 651315 paying up to £100 and Speedy Skip Hire 01847 893797 also paying up to £100. They will take cars and metal, and will do all the paperwork.
